She was enlightened by her mother to learn piano since she was a child, and then she studied cello with teachers such as Chengzhu Chen, Meiying Liao and Suzhi Zheng. Served as the cello principal of Taipei First Girls’ High School Orchestra and ChengKung University Orchestra. Graduated from the Resource Engineering Department of ChengKung University. In September 1998, she was admitted to the master’s program of Eastman School of Music, majoring in choral conducting under Dr. William Weinert. Minor in orchestral conducting, under Maestro Mendi Rodan. Obtained a master’s degree in choral conducting in May 2000.
In 2000, she received a full scholarship to enter the doctoral program at the University of Wisconsin Madison (University of Wisconsin – Madison). Majored in choral conducting under Prof. Beverly Taylor. Minored in orchestral conducting under Prof. David Becker, and voice under Prof. Paul Rowe.
Served as a teaching assistant at the department in her doctoral years. In May 2004, she obtained a doctorate degree of Musical Arts in choral conducting. She is now a very active conductor in Taiwan. She teaches at Fu-Jen Catholic University and Taiwan Theological College Seminary. She is also the art director of Taipei Contemporary Chamber Choir.
