Kinga Litowska

BIO

Kinga Litowska graduated from the Faculty of Theory of Music and the Postgraduate Choirmaster Program at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. Since 2005, she has held a doctor of musical arts degree, with post-doctoral degree obtained in 2017, specialising in choral conducting. She sat on a number of choral competition juries in Venice, Rome, Riva del Garda, Fundão and Graz (European Choir Games). As of September 2017, Kinga Litowska has been working as head teacher at the Karol Szymanowski Association of Music Schools in Toruń and has also been teaching at the Academy of Music in Łódź. Kinga Litowska is a co-founder and conductor of Astrolabium Choir. Together with her choir, she has won a number of awards and recognitions at choral competitions both in Poland and abroad (including the ones held in Legnica, Neuchatel, Venice, Rome and Debrecen).

As a conductor, she is also a laureate of individual awards of competitions like “Venezia in Musica”, “Musica Sacra a Roma” and “Bela Bartok Choir Competition”. Kinga Litowska is the artistic director of the Per Musicam ad Astra International Copernicus Choir Festival and Competition organized in Toruń since 2013 with great success.
