DR. MASASHI KISHIMOTO is a native of Akashi, Japan, received his Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from the Osaka College of Music in Osaka, Japan; a vocal performance diploma in Lied/Oratorio from the Tirol State Conservatory in Innsbruck, Austria; and the Master of Arts in Choral Conducting from Mansfield University, USA under Prof. Dr. Peggy Dettwiler. Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting from North Dakota State University, USA under Distinguished Prof. Dr. Jo Ann Miller and Prof. Dr. Mike Weber. He was invited to guest–conduct the Pachuca Music Festival, Mexico, Asian Youth Choir in Philippines, and assistant director of Japan National Youth Choir and 33rd World Conference of the International Society for Music Education (ISME) in Azerbaijan. He was also invited as a judge at the international competition in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau and Finland.
He formed UiTM Chamber Choir (UCC) 2014 in Malaysia and brought the name to the international stages as a 1st prize winner including several Grand Prix titles in Italy, Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Germany, Finland, Spain, France, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan. 2012-2014 he was a director of choral activities at Rangsit University, Thailand. Currently, as a professor and director of choral activities at University Technology MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. Takarazuka international chamber chorus competition, Japan board member.
